The biggest Center-American country has two oceans which bath its coastlines creating beautiful tropical beaches, two big lakes with volcanic islands, more than 14 volcanoes, 52 different ecosystems and several natural reserves with a great variety of flora and fauna; in addition to local people love and affection.

If you have three weeks and you feel like exploring different sides of Nicaragua, this tour is made for you. You will discover different Natural Reserves, horse-riding, walking or by boat; you will swim in Pacific warm waters, in Cocibolca lake and finally you will relax in a small Caribbean island!

 

Itinerary:

Day 1: Pick up in Managua airport and transfer to Europeo Hotel in Managua.
Day 2: Visiting Granada in the morning and optional boat trip around "Las Isletas" (small island in Cocicolba lake) in the afternoon.. Night in Granada at La Pergola Hotel.
Day 3: Mombacho volcano climbing in the morning; traditional lunch at La Granadilla rural community and relaxing afternoon at Aguas Agrias Natural pools. Night at La Granadilla community.
Day 4: Leaving to Ometepe Island and arrival around 12. Tour around the island to know its towns and its beaches. Night at Finca Venecia.
Day 5: All day discovering the island. In the morning trekking to San Ramón waterfall (3.30 hours return) and in the afternoon relaxing at "Ojo de Agua" thermal waters.
Day 6: Leaving from Ometepe to San Juan del Sur. Afternoon at Maderas beach and the night at Casa Maderas Eco-Lodge
Day 7: Beach.
Day 8: Boat trip to watch whales and/or turtles according to the season. Afternoon at the beach.
Day 9: From San del Sur to Apoyo Lagoon. Night at Pajaro Azul Hotel.
Day 10: Travelling in the morning to Masaya Volcano and visiting Masaya traditional market. After lunch travel to León colonial town. Night at Paz de Luna Bed and Breakfast.
Day 11: León city tour and free afternoon. Night in León.
Day 12: Visiting Isla Juan Venado Natural Reserve in the morning and relaxing in Las Peñitas beach in the afternoon. Night in León.
Day 13: Cerro Negro climbing and sandboarding. In the afternoon visiting the Tiger lagoon. Night in León.
Day 14: Leaving early from León to La Reina community and coffee tour with local farmers. Traditional lunch and travel to Bosawas Natural Reserve. Night at CEN (Center of nature understanding).
Day 15: Trekking in the Reserve.
Day 16: Leaving from Bosawas to Managua, passing by Matagalpa. Night at Europeo Hotel.
Day 17: Managua-Little Corn Island. Accommodation at Derek's place.
Day 18: Little Corn Island
Day 19: Little Corn Island
Day 20: Little Corn Island- Managua. Transfer from the airport to Europeo Hotel.
Day 21: Transfer to the airport and flight back home.
